Unusual Geodesics in Generalizations of Thompson’s Group F
We prove that seesaw words exist in Thompson’s Group F (N) for N = 2, 3, 4, ... with respect to the standard finite generating set X. A seesaw word w with swing k has only geodesic representatives ending in g or g−k (for given g ∈ X) and at least one geodesic representative of each type. The existence of seesaw words with arbitrarily large swing guarantees that F (N) is neither synchronously co...
متن کاملSome Generalizations of Locally Closed Sets
Arenas et al. [1] introduced the notion of lambda-closed sets as a generalization of locally closed sets. In this paper, we introduce the notions of lambda-locally closed sets, Lambda_lambda-closed sets and lambda_g-closed sets and obtain some decompositions of closed sets and continuity in topological spaces.
متن کاملSome Generalizations of Correspondence Analysis
Correspondence analysis of a bivariate table has many diierent opti-mality properties. For instance, the scores computed by correspondence analysis linearize both regressions, and maximize the correlation coee-cient. We try to generalize both properties to the multivariate situation, using the concept of maximizing any aspect of the correlation matrix, and the concept of simultaneously lineariz...
متن کاملSome Generalizations of Poisson Processes
In this paper we make an attempt to review count data models developed so far as generalizations of Poisson process. We consider Winkleman’s gamma count model and the Weibull count model of Mc Shane et al. The fractional generalization of Poisson process by Mainardi et al. is also considered. A Mittag-Leffler count model is developed and studied in detail. Simulation studies are also conducted.
متن کاملSome remarks on generalizations of classical prime submodules
Let $R$ be a commutative ring with identity and $M$ be a unitary $R$-module. Suppose that $phi:S(M)rightarrow S(M)cup lbraceemptysetrbrace$ be a function where $S(M)$ is the set of all submodules of $M$. A proper submodule $N$ of $M$ is called an $(n-1, n)$-$phi$-classical prime submodule, if whenever $r_{1},ldots,r_{n-1}in R$ and $min M$ with $r_{1}ldots r_{n-1}min Nsetminusphi(N)$, then $r_{1...
